Covid-19 Self-Test (Rapid Antigen Tests)

Did you know that your local library is a collection point for these tests?

Please just pop along and ask staff for however many boxes you or your family require.

Sunday Crafts

Sunday crafts are on between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon. In January we are making:

  • Sunday 2nd –Pop along and create a melting snowman craft and decorate.
  • Sunday 9th – It’s cold outside! Warm up by making a decorative hot chocolate mug.
  • Sunday 16th –Design a snow scene in a globe. What will you include in yours?Sunday 23rd – Have you ever tried to ice skate? This week we are designing a pair of ice skates.
  • Saturday 30th – This week we are making cheerful penguins.

Activities are free. Parents must stay with under eights.

Word Play Sessions

These sessions are now back in the library every week on a Thursday.

  • Tot Rock – 9.45 – 10.15 a.m.
  • Baby Bounce – 10.30 – 11.00 a.m.

Story Time

Fun stories, rhymes and songs every Friday 9.45 – 10.15 a.m. in the library. No need to book – just pop along.

Lego Club – every Tuesday 3.30 – 4.30 p.m. Free play with each child been given a basket of Lego bricks to create designs of their choice. We hope to see you soon.

Book Club – Thursday 13th January 7.00 p.m. If you would like to join, please either pop along or give the staff a ring. The group is currently reading The Lost Man by Jane Harper. The library supplies the titles being read.

Jumpstart January – The library is hoping to put on a range of activities including a drop-in Wellbeing Event – date to be confirmed, as well as a wellbeing display of both adult and children’s titles which can be borrowed and wellbeing craft for children which can be collected and completed at home. Please look out for posters advertising this.

Home Library Service – If you would like to access the library but are unable to visit us, Kesgrave runs two home library routes where volunteers come out with a selection of books to your homes. We follow all the Covid guidelines to ensure both your and the volunteers safety.

To access this service please ring the library or log on the Suffolk Libraries website and complete the online form.

100 Club – Our Community Group has a 100 Club, to help with fund-raising specifically for Kesgrave Library and we have nearly 70 people who have signed up. For just £1.00 per month, you could enter and have a chance of winning a cash prize plus knowing you are supporting your local library. Please speak to staff for details of how to enter.
