Kesgrave fraud - witness appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of fraud in Kesgrave.

It took place on Saturday 23 October at about 2pm on Main Road, adjacent to Edmonton Road.

A male approached the male victim, who was aged in his 60s, and engaged him in conversation. He claimed he had the same make of car as the victim and his had failed its MOT. As a consequence, he claimed he was breaking up his car and was offering the parts for sale at £210. 

The victim gave the male £210 and the suspect said he would return either an hour and a half later or the following day with the parts but never did.

The suspect is described - white with blonde/ginger thinning hair, of a short cut and had a well-groomed beard. He was approximately five foot, eight inches tall, aged in mid-forties to fifties with tattoos on his lower arm.

Anyone who has knowledge of who the offender was or has experienced a similar situation should contact Woodbridge police, quoting crime number 37/61137/21.
