Suffolk Constabulary - Burglary in Kesgrave

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that took place in Kesgrave.

It happened at some point between 10.30am and 12.30pm Tuesday 23 Feb with offender/s gaining access to the property on Fairbairn Avenue by way of force breaking patio windows and then conducting an untidy search of the property. At this time it is not clear what has been stolen.

Cafe66 Re-opening for takeaways (24 Feb)

Cafe 66 will be open for takeaways on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 24th February 2021. Hot drinks to warm you on your daily walk, snacks & lunches to take home.

A12 Scheme (A14 “Seven Hills” to A1152 Woods Lane) - Consultation (closes 19 Mar)

A public consultation has begun (Tues 9th Feb) and continues to Friday 19 March on the proposed improvements to the A12 between the A14 at Seven Hills and the A1152 at Wood Lane (“the A12 Scheme”). All details are  available at  www.suffolk.gov.uk/A12improvements  During the consultation there are two public virtual events (11 Feb - 3 Mar) to be held where people can hear a presentation on the proposals and then ask questions – details and link available on the webpage.

Orwell Bridge Overnight Closures: 16 Feb - 12 Mar 10pm-6am

For safety reasons, we will now need to fully close the A14 between junctions 55 and 58 for our work to take place. Our work will now be done on weeknights between the hours of 10pm to 6am from Tuesday 16 February to Friday 12 March inclusive, and the road will be closed during those hours.

Suffolk Constabulary - Motorbikes/mopeds stolen from Ipswich

Between December 2020 and the start of February 2021, 11 motorbikes/mopeds were reported stolen in Ipswich and the immediate surrounds.  If you own a motorbike, please review your security now to reduce the chance of having your bike stolen.
