All Saint Church - Lighting Project Celebration
Songs of Praise, 5pm on Sunday 31 October Blessing and dedication of the new lighting led by the Dean of St Edmundsbury Cathedral, The Very Reverend Joe Hawes.
The Lighting Project was started in 2019 when it became clear that a total rewire of All Saints Kesgrave was needed.
Some of you will remember the flower festival we held to publicise this endeavour and kickstart the fundraising. After many delays, mainly because of Covid-19, the project was restarted in February this year and a new design was commissioned. This had to be submitted to the Diocesan Advisory Committee and approval granted for the faculty (legal permission) before work could begin. Finally, on August 2, installation began and has continued throughout September.
We hope to be back in church by mid-October, hopefully not cutting it too fine for the planned celebration. Dozens of Kesgrave residents have helped get us to this point so it would be lovely if you could celebrate with us too.
Please check the website nearer the time as we do not know at this point if there will be any Covid-19 restrictions on numbers: www.askesgrave.org/welcome.htm
