1st Kesgrave Guides (Term Time)

The Guide programme provides interesting and inspiring opportunities for girls aged between 10 and 14. We work in small groups called patrols.

At Guides we make things, play games and make friends. We have a chance to organise our own activities and make decisions.

Guides like to be outdoors and especially enjoy the Guide camps.

Guides like to learn new skills, take on challenges and help other people.

Whether your daughter wants to join Rainbows (5-7), Brownies (7-10), Guides (10-14) or Rangers (14-18), start her Girlguiding journey here. Begin by registering her interest and finding out about units in your area.

Adventure, fun and friendship starts here.

How registration works

  1. Register your interest – you'll be asked for your contact details and a few key pieces of information about your daughter.
  2. Choose the best unit for you – we'll use your details to suggest several local units. Then it's up to you to select the most convenient one. You can choose up to three location preferences.
  3. We'll get in touch – someone from your chosen unit will contact you, usually within three weeks. They can explain to you about meetings times, costs, what's planned for the term and if there's a waiting list.
  4. Try guiding out – if spaces are available, the unit will arrange a trial meeting for your daughter to attend. This gives you and her an idea of what guiding is all about – we're sure you will love it!
