How and who can join

Membership is open to any one who attends Kesgrave High School and/or lives in the area including Kesgrave, Rushmere and Martlesham. The minimum age is 11 years with an upper limit of 19 years of age.

To become a member please complete the attached membership form and either return to tdi@kesgrave.org.uk, bring it to a meeting or send it to: The Manager, The Drop In, c/o Kesgrave Youth Forum, Kesgrave High School, Main Road, Kesgrave, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP5 2PB . Once your application has been processed you will be given a membership card which you should bring to all meetings and events.

We also have a ‘contract for members’ we expect you to agree to. Details of this can be found below.

• Treat other people (other members, staff and guests) with respect.
• Treat all equipment at the Youth Centre with respect.
• Clear up any mess that you make (i.e. litter in bins, spillages etc).
• You must inform a member of staff immediately if there is an accident, emergency, breakage of equipment etc  
• No indoor equipment must be used outside
• Do not go on or use the Kesgrave High School's grounds or property at least without permission)
• You must complete the "signing in and out" book (H + S reasons)
• No smoking in the Youth Centre - please smoke outside the building
• No illegal drugs or alcohol to be brought on the Youth Centre premises
• T.D.I. is 'ism' free - e.g. no sexism, racism, ageism, homophobia etc

Please remember two things

• If you and/or others do not agree to this contract, than the staff have duty to act accordingly.  This can include banning you from the NYC if appropriate.
• The TDI does not own this building.  Misbehaviour could see us lose the building - where could we go then?

Statement:

I agree that I have the read and understood the contract above.  If I do not honour this contract than I expect my actions to have consequences which I may not like but must obey.
