Who are we?
SPARK is a registered charity established to provide and improve opportunities for Sport, Recreation and other leisure time occupations for the benefit of the inhabitants of Kesgrave and the surrounding area.
SPARK is made up of representatives from all parts of the local community.

SPARKS main fund raising income comes from the 2nd Stop Charity Shop located in one of the Tesco shop units. From time to time it also runs other events such as golf days, fashion shows, a local lottery etc.

SPARK is a registered charity established to provide and improve opportunities for Sport, Recreation and other leisure time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Kesgrave and surrounding areas in the interests of social welfare and in order to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants.
SPARK raises funds and is open to receive contributions from any person or persons or organisation whatsoever.
SPARK does not participate directly or indirectly in any activity which is not charitable according to the laws of the United Kingdom. All funds and property of SPARK are at all times used only for purposes that are charitable and in pursuance of its objects.
The income and property of SPARK are applied solely to the objects of SPARK.

Membership of SPARK is open to:-
(i) individuals of sixteen years and over who are interested in furthering the work of SPARK and
(ii) the Town Council, voluntary organisations, sports organisations and any clubs or organisations interested in furthering the work of SPARK, existing or newly formed.

SPARKS major contribution to date has been to help fund the Kesgrave Community Centre Sports Hall. It gave a £180,000 grant to this project which opened in Sep 07. We have also agreed to provide a monthly grant to help towards the day to day running costs for the first 2 years.
SPARK has also given large and small grants to many other Kesgrave based organisations including the Cricket Club, 1st Kesgrave Scout Group, the Guides, Cycle Speedway, Holm Court etc.
SPARK can help voluntary non-
It may be that your playgroup is in need of some new painting aprons, or you need some cards for a bingo evening. Do you need some bats and balls or some new darts and a dartboard for your club?
If the answer to this type of question is yes, then may be SPARK can help you out. We cannot promise anything but it costs nothing to ask!
If you think SPARK could help, please write to us with a brief description of your needs and an up to date set of accounts to Pat Mills our chairman.
We will consider them all and if we can we'll help with funding.
