Sunday Crafts (10 – 12 noon)

Sunday 2nd – It’s nearly Summer and time for the beach. Make a paper plate seahorse to decorate;

Sunday 9th – Next Sunday is Father’s Day. Create a Papa Bear card for someone special;

Sunday 16th Create a peg aeroplane as a Father’s Day present;

Sunday 23rd
– Design your own pipe cleaner finger puppet to take home;

Sunday 30th – Create a jazzy lolly to celebrate it being officially summer!

Activities are free.

Parents must stay with under eights.

There’s no need to book – just turn up and have a go.

 

Free BookStart Sessions – every Thursday including Holidays.

Tot Rock - 9.45am – 10.15 am.

BabyBounce - 10.30am – 11.00am - Tea & Coffee

Free Story Time Sessions – every Friday 9.45 – 10.15 a.m. including holidays. This session combines stories and rhymes. All welcome. Why not pop along?

 

Other Library Events for June 2019

Every Tuesday afternoon (Term Time) 3.45 – 4.45 p.m. Lego Club.

Parents must stay with under 8s. The themes this month are 04/06 – Free Play, 11/06 – Space, 18/06 – Tractors, 25/06 - Suffolk Show. No need to book. Just pop along!  This is a free activity.

05/06 and 19/06/2019 – Knit and Natter - 2.30 p.m. £1.00 - tea, coffee provided. Welcome to all new members.

06/06/2019 – Afternoon Book Group - 2.45 p.m. They are currently reading Force of Nature by Jane Harper.

20/06/2019 – Evening Book Group – 7.00 p.m. The Word is Murder by Anthony Horowitz.

New for June 2019

Second Monday morning of the month – 10/06 – Sofa Storytime 10.00-11.00 a.m. –

Third Monday morning of the month – 17/06 – IT Drop In sessions 9.30 – 12.00 noon

Fourth Monday morning of the month – 24/06 - MacMillan Cancer Support Coffee Mornings 10.00 onwards

Once a month the library is holding a group for those suffering with cancer and their carers. This group is an opportunity to meet others, chat and offer each other support. Leaflets offering advice will be available. Coffee, tea and biscuits will also be provided. Just pop along, if you would like to attend. We now have a volunteer, who worked for Macmillan, helping to run this session now.

Volunteers Needed! Summer Reading Challenge

Are you interested in volunteering to help the staff at Kesgrave Library run this year’s Summer Reading Challenge? The theme this year is Space Chase. The challenge runs all through the summer holidays for primary school aged children. If you are interested, please speak to a member of staff who will explain what the reading challenge entails and the process involved to become a volunteer.

IT Help Sessions

Are you having trouble getting to grips with a piece of technology? Or would you like help downloading e-books to your e-reader? A member of staff at the library; still has spaces in their IT help sessions for May. If you would like some help with your technology, please phone up or speak to a member of staff about booking you one of our half-hour slots.

Library Closure for Refurbishment – The library will be closed on Monday 17th June, as we are having the children’s shelving refurbished. We will be open as normal from the Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience.
