Sunday Crafts (10 – 12 noon)

The following craft activities will be taking place during April:

Sunday 7th – It’s Spring. Pop along and make a daffodil Easter card to give to someone special.

Sunday 14th – Next Sunday is Easter Day. Why not pop along and make a paper plate Easter Bunny and a paper cup Easter chick complete with a small Easter treat.

Sunday 28th
– The 23rd of April was St George’s Day – the patron saint of England. Design and decorate a dragon to celebrate.

Activities are free. Parents must stay with under eights. There’s no need to book – just turn up and have a go.

Other Library Events for April 2019

Every Tuesday afternoon (Term Time) 3.45 – 4.45 p.m. Lego Club. Parents must stay with under 8s. The themes this month are 02/04 – Easter, 30/04 – Dragons.  No need to book. Just pop along!  This is a free activity.

03/04 and 17/04/2019 – Knit and Natter - 2.30 p.m. £1.00 - tea, coffee provided. Welcome to all new members.

04/04/2019 – Afternoon Book Group - 2.45 p.m. They are currently reading The Marble Collector by Cecelia Ahern.

25/04/2019– Evening Book Group – 7.00 p.m. Little Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

New for April 2019

Second Monday morning of the month – 08/04 – Sofa Storytime 10.00-11.00 a.m. –

Third Monday morning of the month – 15/04– IT Drop In sessions 9.30 – 12.00 noon

Fifth Monday morning of the month – 29/04 - MacMillan Cancer Support Coffee Mornings 10.00 onwards – Once a month the library is holding a group for those suffering with cancer and their carers. This group is an opportunity to meet others, chat and offer each other support. Leaflets offering advice will be available. Coffee, tea and biscuits will also be provided. Just pop along, if you would like to attend. We now have a volunteer, who worked for Macmillan, helping to run this session now.

Starting in April 0n 02/04 – Every Tuesday morning 9.00 – 12.00 noon - Adult Colouring – all materials provided. Just pop along and relax. £1.00 Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. No need to book. Hope to see you there.

Elmer the Elephant Afternoon - Tuesday 9th April 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. Elmer the Elephant is visiting Kesgrave Library on this date. We will also have an elephant inspired craft, a raffle, tombola, guess the secret word and refreshments. No need to book. Just pop along. Why not bring your favourite cuddly animal along to join in as well?

Mid- Week Easter Holiday Craft Sessions – During April, Suffolk Libraries are celebrating Children’s literature. Why not pop along and take part in our free craft sessions which are based around the staff at Kesgrave’s favourite children’s books?

Wednesday 10th April: 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. Kipper by Mick Inkpen.

Thursday 11th April: 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. – The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle by Beatrix Potter.

Tuesday 16th April: 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. Winnie the Pooh by A A Milne.

Tuesday 23rd April: 2.30 – 4.30 p.m. Window by Jeannie Baker.
