Evening Book Group – Love reading but always read the same authors and genres? Why not try something different in the new year? We currently have spaces in our evening book group. The group meets one Thursday evening a month at 7.00 p.m. to discuss their current read and chose a new book for the next month. If you are interested, please contact the library.

Jump Start January – all through this month, the library will have a wellbeing and mindfulness display, a jigsaw to complete whilst in the library and colouring for customers to take part in.

Sutton Hoo Road Show – we are also hoping that Sutton Hoo will be coming along to the library during January. They will be bringing along some of their amazing artefacts for customers to view. Please look out for posters, as the date still needs to be confirmed.

Congratulations to Kesgrave Library

And the WINNERS are ...Kesgrave Library Community Group!

Congratulations to Kesgrave Library Community Group, KLCG, on winning the Volunteer Team Award 2019 presented by Suffolk libraries at a special ‘People’s Champions’ award ceremony. The Award was given ‘For the exceptional contribution to the range of services and activities provided by the library, making a significant impact on the local community.’

And the winner of ‘The Innovation Award’ is Gemma Southwood, a parent at the Library and member of the KLCG who as a busy Mum conceived of the idea of a Reading Challenge for Grown Ups to coincide with the Summer Reading Challenge 2019. Aims included making time for oneself as well as being a good role model for children. A clever, simple and successful idea.
