A14 Orwell Bridge Maintenance Work - 25 Jan - 12 Mar 9pm-5am.

Suffolk Highways will be carrying out essential maintenance work. During this work, we’ll install additional signing and speed cameras and renew faded road markings and road studs. Most of this work will be carried out under lane closures and traffic will still be able to travel along this route.

Coronavirus vaccine job opportunities

We are looking for healthcare professionals, administrators and volunteers from across Essex and Suffolk to lead our fight against coronavirus – you could be part of it! Working with NHS colleagues across the two counties, we are gearing up in the next few weeks to open more vaccination centres with the Oxford University/AstraZenaca jab now approved and being rolled out.

We are seeking more great people for the following temporary roles:

  • - Registered clinical managers (band 8a)
  • - Registered healthcare professionals (bands 5 and 6)
  • - Immunisers (band 4)
  • - Healthcare assistants (band 3)
  • - Bank admin support (band 3)
  • - Volunteer stewards

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join us and play your part in protecting the community and saving lives.

To apply for an immuniser role, you must have previous experience of working in a healthcare setting.

Kesgrave Library Closed but Customers can still use online e-library service

The library is currently closed due to the increasing rates of Covid in Suffolk. However Customers can access their online e-library service by visiting their website https://www.suffolklibraries.co.uk/

Library staff are also posting activities and information onto their Facebook page each day (found under Kesgrave Library); with Suffolk Libraries initiative of Jumpstart January featuring from this weekend.

What a couple of weeks it has been! We do hope you were able to enjoy Christmas and let's all stay positive for a safer and happier 2021.

In the meantime, as we are in Tier 4, we feel it it best to ONLY offer our 'Click and Collect' service at the next Market on Saturday, 16th January (there will be no stallholders on the day)

Our 'Click and Collect' (and possible local Deliveries) service will be available - The ordering system is in place, with a list of what's available. You can complete and return these orders, and we will take care of the rest.
