Ipswich and Kesgrave Bridge Club
Ipswich and Kesgrave Bridge Club is the largest in the area. Given the size of our membership, we are a broad church and pride ourselves on being welcoming to players of all levels of experience. As a club we believe we have a responsibility to offer our membership (and the wider Bridge community) ways of developing their game. We try to do this in a number of ways:
Beginners Bridge Classes: a two-year course based on a nationally developed program. We currently have nearly 40 students.
Seminars: aimed at more experienced players and run on specific topics.
Weekly Bidding Challenges: where we send out 16 hands for people to practise their bidding with a proposed set of answers sent the following week.
We are always investigating additional ways we can help anyone who wants to develop their game.
If you are a Bridge player and want to know more about the various ways we look to help our members improve their game, or just want to know more about us please contact us directly.
We play Duplicate Bridge and use Bridgemates II to record scores. The club has a dealing machine and we have pre-dealt hands with hand records available at the end of the evening. The evening starts at 7.00pm prompt.
Visitors are always welcome but please arrive by 6.45 p.m
Coffee, tea, squash and biscuits are available throughout the evening.
We run a host system and we ask those needing a parter to arrive by 6.55 p.m. Club members can book a partner in advance using the 'Need a Partner' system. More details on the home page of the website.
For EBU members, we will need your EBU number or your full name, and Postcode to register any accredited master points.
